As the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 600 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade.

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the definition and support of technological and architectural solutions within your area of responsibility as Enterprise, Technology or Product Architect.

Job Description
  • Work together with product teams to develop architectural target images and transformation paths, both in terms of content and as a facilitator
  • Evaluate and design architectures with regard to functional and non-functional requirements, compliance with architectural principles, technical debt and relevant IT trends, among other things
    Documenting the architecture and technology within the area of responsibility
  • Make decisions on architecture/technology
  • Coordinate technical details with software engineers and enforce our standards
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching for developers, engineers and other team members
  • Support the implementation and documentation of new technical requirements
  • Collaborate on overarching topics with the central architecture team
  • Contribute to our overall architecture and technology stack a part of our communities of practice
Qualifications
  • Completed technical education with focus on IT (HTL, FH, TU) or comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the IT industry, in which you have gained significant experience in the design and implementation of software systems
  • Knowhow of systems design and architecture modeling (i.e. arc42, C4, Archimate etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of software/application design and architecture
  • Experience in software development with Java and especially Spring Boot (knowledge of web technologies is beneficial)
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle and QA principles
  • Proven understanding of professional IT architecture design in the age of Cloud (especially GCP), agile teams, container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), DevOps, microservice architectures and design thinking
  • Knowledge of various aspects of a technology architecture like integration, network and security
  • Technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • High quality organizational and communication skills
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working
  • Preferably CPSA (Certified Professional for Software Architecture) training
