Your role

  • Test Planning & Design: Design and implement comprehensive test plans and cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. Ensure thorough coverage of all functional and non-functional test scenarios.
  • Manual Testing: Execute manual tests to identify defects and ensure that the software meets the specified requirements. Focus on creating and executing comprehensive test cases, including functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing.
  • Test Environment Configuration: Configure and use test environments based on test preconditions.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Document test results, report defects, and provide detailed feedback to the development team. Maintain accurate records of test cases and test execution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and expectations. Participate in requirements reviews and provide input on testability. Support the development team by actively providing testing effort estimations for stories/features. Mentor and guide junior testers, sharing best practices and knowledge on test strategies.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. Identify areas for automation and efficiency enhancements. Determine the proper prioritization of the testing activities based on the information provided by risk analysis.
  • Customer Interaction: Occasionally travel to customer sites to understand mission-critical project requirements and ensure alignment with customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in manual testing, with a solid understanding of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies. Basic scripting knowledge to prepare tests for the automated test writers and perform basic defect analysis (including reading stack traces).
  • Test Design & Execution: Skilled in designing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases. Experience with various types of testing, including functional, regression, and usability testing.
  • Tools & Techniques: Proficiency with test management tools such as Zephyr, defect tracking tools like JIRA, and documentation tools like Confluence. Strong understanding of the importance of test coverage and gap analysis. Familiarity with Postman for testing and scripting is a plus.
  • Certifications: ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Analyst (CTAL-TA) or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Due to legal requirements, we are obliged to point out that the collective agreement minimum salary for this position starts at a gross annual salary at around € 43,078. We offer an overpayment (even significant ones) which is based on your individual qualifications and professional experience.
