In the role of Domain Architect, you will develop a holistic vision for our IT system landscape in alignment with the business strategy and analyze the execution of the necessary changes to achieve the vision.
For the Enterprise Architecture team we are looking for an domain architect focusing on one of the following domains:
- Store Solutions and eCommerce
- Logistics
- Category Management, Purchasing and Billing
- Sales, Marketing, CRM
- Corporate Functions (e.g. Finance and Accounting, HR)
You shape the future and transformation of the IT landscape as an "IT landscape planner".
Job Description
- You contribute to the efficiency of domain-wide IT work, through appropriate architectures and collaboration with the relevant teams.
- You advise and support solution architects and teams on architectural aspects.
- You support the design and alignment of business and IT strategy, translate it into architectural guidance and communicate it
- You shape domain-related IT decision making through functional, lateral leadership, balancing "tactical" business requirements, "strategic" value creation, and technology future proofing
- You develop architectural target images and transformation paths, both in terms of a driver and as a facilitator
- You define and plan the domain-specific architecture of the IT landscape - balancing redundancy avoidance and autonomy/dependence avoidance - to drive the transformation of the IT landscape
- You promote and drive innovation, proactively advising on the use of technology in the direction of the business
- You further develop IT architecture as a discipline together with the architecture community
Qualifications
- You have successfully completed your studies in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification.
- Many years of experience in the IT industry and in dealing with larger application landscapes as well as your several years of experience in architecture management.
- Proven understanding of professional IT architecture design in the age of agile teams, container technologies, hyperscalers, DevOps, microservice architectures, and design thinking.
- Holistic and strategic mindset
- In-depth knowledge of modern domain specific systems, business and architectures
- Ability to understand and analyze complex IT issues in a structured way.
- Communication skills in order to present the resulting findings in a convincing and target group-oriented manner in diagrams, documents and presentations.
- Profound knowledge of common methods and frameworks regarding IT architecture and EAM, for example TOGAF, iSAQB, Archimate, ARC42, ATAM or UML
- Finally, you are a committed, reliable team player and a competent contact person for customers and colleagues.
